Traegorn interviews Azzy December 25, 2006 - 4:13:19
1. If a train leaves Boston heading east at 55 miles an hour, and a train leaves Chicago two hours later going west at 65 miles per hour - and saying that there was a straight line of track between the two points, and that no barriers exist between the two points, how long does it take for you to go get me a coke?  That all depends on what part of the train the Coke is on.

2. Why, when given the option to call yourself anything, do you pick an anime reference instead of something personal online?  There are multiple reasons.  First, Azumanga Daioh happens to be one of my personal favorites because of it's sheer nuttiness.  Secondly, I based it off of my Yahoo! Messenger screen name.  That is a combo of the anime name as well as the age I was when I created the screen name.

3. Why isn't the sky purple?  I think it has something to do with refracting of light rays, or something like that.  But I didn't pay too much attention during my Intro weather class during that part.

4. Why hasn't Brett Favre been shot in the face yet?  Two words: Cajun Charm. :p

5. If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?  A kind that wouldn't be cleared out to make space for a mall parking lot.

Now that it has been done, I will interview whoever comments on my blog.

So it's been a while since I blogged.... October 20, 2006 - 11:26:01
...and not too much is going on as of now, which is kinda good.  I have been quite busy with class projects and studying up the yazoo these last few weeks and I'll thankfully have a break from all that this weekend.  Saturday, I'll be out of Green Bay almost the entire day because my dad is going to run a Junior Gold bowling tournament at Dome Lanes in Marinette and I usually help him out with running scoresheets to and fro.  I also celebrated my 23rd birthday two days ago, which was busy, but nice.  Yesterday, I got a birthday card from fellow NoBrander TimeDragon, which included a Waldenbooks Gift Card.  Hooray manga!

But there has been a rough spot here and there.  Last weekend, I was shooting some film with my camera for a couple of Intro to Photo projects.  Somehow, I managed to muck up with loading the film and three of the 4 rolls I shot ended up blank.  Thankfully I have a very understanding professor for that class and so me and her got things all worked out.  I've also had a lot of difficulty sleeping the last couple of weeks and it has not been too terribly fun.  But I do have a doctor's appointment early next month, so hopefully that can get worked out.  I guess that's all for now.  Until next time!

The wonders of modern technology. August 1, 2006 - 10:22:55
Last week Thursday, I bought an Intec Star Wars: Jedi Hunter Officially Liscensed Controller for the PS2 at a local retailer.  For some reason or another, the Select button decided to crap out on me yesterday.  Needless to say, I wasn't too terribly thrilled with this development.  So I go to e-mail Intec's customer service department and according to the automated e-mail response it will take them AT LEAST 3-5 business days to respond.  Whatever.

I'm not too concerned about that right now, as I have far bigger fish to fry.  Like finding a time to get together with my Anime Club galpal to let her know how I truly feel about her.  Later!

An anniversary of sorts. July 1, 2006 - 18:48:53
Two years ago today, I was offically(and honorably, I might add) discharged from the United States Air Force.  Man has it been one heluva ride!  I wasn't sure what to do when I first became a civilian once again, but I fugured getting into college might be a good start.  Of course, I never took the ACT's when I was High School, so I did that first.  I did ZERO preparing for them, but somehow I managed to score pretty freakin' high.  Even the advisors at St. Norbert were shocked at how high they were.  Of course, I couldn't afford to go there, so I ended up with UW-GB, where I attend college to this day.  Since then, I've helped to srart an anime club, bowl in a PBA pro-am, attend an anime con and so much more.  Kind of makes you wonder where all the time goes.  Moral of the story: Appreciate today, because you'll never know what tomorrow will dish out your way.

Life can be fun when you're sleep=deprived. :-) July 1, 2006 - 15:36:06
You wanna talk about insane?  How about for the last 4 weeks, I have had at least 1 NBC-related dream each week.  To make matters more interesting, it's ALWAYS on a Friday night that I have these weird dreams.  In case you've missed out, here's the recap of the recent dreams(in a nutshell):

NBC Dream #1: NBC takes place at UW-GB, except the Student Union is triple-sized and included hotel rooms.  TimeDragon then gives me a ride back to my house.  On return trip, we drive through a dimensional portal and the con building was transplanted in the Lambeau Field parking lot, surrounded by a force field that  could only be penetrated by con-goers.  Everyone else bounced off like pinballs.

NBC Dream #2: Final Fantasy cosplay-themed wedding at NBC, where I was the groom, cosplaying as Squall.  However, dream ends before "Bride's" identity is revealed.  If I remember correctly, Duct Tape Boy was the best man and Green Boy was the "priest".  Don't ask me why, it just happened that way.

NBC Dream #3: PM me if you wanna know.

NBC dream #4(last night): Don't remember much about it, but it did entail being a NoBrand Hobo and an uber-cool idea I came up with for the Secret Rice Plan 2007.  I also blew $250 on Vinnk's merchandise in the dream.

That is all.

Angst-free fact stating OR May 27, 2006 - 22:03:08
I was talking with the fellow NoBrander I saw the movie See No Evil with last week a couple days ago and something interesting came up in the discussion.  It seems that UW-GB wasn't the first place we met.  While I already knew we were at the same high school, I didn't remember till she reminded me that she was in Art Club her Sophomore year when I was there my Senior year.  When I thought back to that, I actually did remember seeing her there, which I find to be kinda cool and kinda creeped.  Just when I thought my world couldn't get any smaller.  Tee hee. :-)

There's more to this.  When I was thinking back to when we first actually met, I had realized something.  Back then, I had a good-sized crush on her, but I was too damn shy and quiet to do or say anything about it.  But that was then, this is now.  I really do like her a lot and she's a good person, I just don't wanna blow this second chance fate has given me.  Having realized my recent mistakes, I intend to take things one step at a time.  I just gotta find out when, and if, I can ever tell her how I feel.

That is all.

Hell of a day today..... May 26, 2006 - 0:34:16
The day today started out fairly normal right up until class today.  About halfway through class, my dad comes along and tells me to pack my bags.  By then, I was like "Oh shit, what's going down now?".  Turns out my grandpa, a man who's narly 90(89 to be exact), had a mild stroke at the nursing home and was transported to the local hospital.  I was already freaking slightly at this point cause something similar occured(although it was far worse then) around Thanksgiving and we almost lost him that night.  TO make a long story short, the thing that caused the stroke did pass and he's back at the home resting.  I'm a nervous wreck by this point, but I went ahead and went to my league bowling cause I needed the distraction.  3 beers, a shot of Apple Jack, and 3 victorious team games later, I felt better.  I'm still worried though cause I have a gut feeeling he won't be around for much longer. I know it's only a matter of time(a year or two most likely), but still.

I'm gonna play some more Kingdom hearts 2 now.
