*spoilers * Harry Potter: Ending Thoughts  July 29, 2007 - 21:37:14
My room mate had pre-ordered a copy of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" and when he finished it he gave me the go ahead to read it.
I dove inn with much furver and excitement, I got a sense right away of trying to tie up loose ends...
If I may say I enjoyed "The order of the Phoenix" more, but that may have just been me. I guess I had been secretly hoping she would some how surprise me by not bothering with loose ends... leaving some things open...
two-thirds through I did become impressed with it because the battle was so well written and kept the pages turning fast and furious. Then to my absolute amazement my prediction from 6 months ago happened.
To explain here is how this prediction came about. I was invited down to the zombie house for new years eve, and I gladly accepted. We had some awesome drinks and some not so good ones *glare at Topher* well eventually we got to talking about Harry Potter. It sounds like a bad joke but we were five more or less drunk guys discussing Harry Potter. We were kicking around ideas about how we thought it would end. Some one mentioned how horcruxes were made. Suddenly in an alcohol spurned moment I came up with the brilliant idea harry was a horcruxe... and he had to die...

Well I was right twice, and yet failed to grasp the entire plan thst the clever Author had been  building into the story. It wasn't over yet The story had pages yet to be read.
I originally had not been allowed to read Harry Potter due to my parents being of the mind set magic = evil, but while at a friends house he allowed me to read his copy of "Sorcerer' Stone", telling me that it was well written. I was at his house for one day. I finished the book. I then read year two completely at the Augusta library over the course of one summer. I almost got caught up when I moved to Florida for five months. I then read years five and six back in Wisconsin at Panara bread. This time I am enjoying the final book in the comfort of the place I call home, and still the part I like about these books is the fact that they are extremely well written...
I liek the ending...
So Harry was a horcruxe... but she exceed my theory he was bound like voldermort... voldermort essentially made himself a horcruxe for Harry... The final battle revealed all...
I like the end...

RGS out...

I actually hated the theory that Harry was a horcrux. I'd seen it blathered all over the internet after the sixth book, and I thought it was stupid. I would have liked it much better if it was simply the tie between them that was broken when Harry died, and that it was his self sacrifice that enabled him to come back to life. I generally thought the book overall was good, but the epilogue was terrible and unnecessary.
