How I see the world February 22, 2007 - 6:36:03

Over the last year and a half my political views have changed drastically. Just how drastically they differ has become increasingly obvious when discussing politics with my room mate.
He believes Bush as president can do no wrong - I believe him to be a rather flawed person who has pushed his own agendas the entire time in office.
He believes that the death penalty is okay - I believe this is heinous act and should never be committed, and further more I believe it to be against Christian beliefs.
He believes prisoners shouldn't be able to file suit against their captors - I believe that by refusing them this we open the door to treating them any way we feel like, thus make us no better than them.
He believes we should lock up, beat, and possibly kill all terrorist - I believe this once again makes us little better than a terrorist ourselves.
He is given a main stream view and simply accepts it - I see a view then try to seek out the other side of the argument so as to give an objective view on where the truth lies.

I could go on but most of the other arguments focus around conspiracy theories... (I believe things don't add up for certain major events)
