Guhhh... So I decided back in September that I wanted to revitalize my blog, and dedicated myself to updating it at least three times a week. I put together a simple Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule, and for the most part (excepting an interruption by Swine Flu) I've been good about sticking to it. Then, I decided back in October I'd start adding narrative stick figure comics into the mix. So far these have been at least moderately popular, so everything seemed to be working out.

My current process is simple, on the night before I decided my topic, draw the comic, and then write the blog entry the next day.

You'd think it would be easier if I just wrote the entry the night before, when I was drawing the comic, but honestly after a full day's work the last thing I am capable of is any sort of coherent prose.

So far, no major issues had impeded this process. I had not run into a single glitch.

That was until last night.

Last night I had several ideas for comics. Let me tell you, they would have all been hilarious. What the problem is, is that said comics would have probably angered some people unnecessarily. Now, if I feel passionately about an issue, I have no problem getting people mad, but if it's just for a cheap joke it feels petty.

So there I sat, trying to come up with a new topic. My brain was blank... and all that came out was "guhhh..." Have you ever tried to come up with a new joke when there's one stuck in your head already? It's actually quite difficult. Likewise, I couldn't think of anything else to write about.

So, after a while, I gave up. I decided that since I would write about... this exact thing. It's a card you can only play every once and a while, but I decided to go for it anyway.

So there you go. I hope to be more interesting on Monday.

I guess we'll see though.
