Human Contact.
Posted Sep 2, 2006 - 2:34:51

Imposing DuckSo, I'm going to have to get used to not being a complete and total recluse again - this I declare. Why do I have to? Because I don't think I have much of a choice... people keep finding me. I'm not complaining mind you - I actually quite enjoy the company... but I effectively spent the last month on my own, and spending time with people will require some adjusting again. *grin*

Yesterday, while hanging a banner outside K.T., I ran into Keanu and Moriah (seperately) - or should I say they ran into me, as I was stationary? Either way, those brief encounters were fairly entertaining.

On the sustained human contact level, I had a fairly lengthy meeting with Deb (the Associate Director of Housing) to discuss J-Board Training materials... I know... exciting stuff (/sarcasm). While I was up the hill, I stopped and chatted with Manda - who has moved to the Towers North Hall Director spot from K.T. this year.

Later, Neil stopped by my room for a while (to copy Erika's music off of my external harddrive... her CDs got stolen - which kind of sucks - and he's going to burn her music to new discs), and chatted. Then, about ten minutes after Neil left, Leah (Kitty) showed up. Leah hung out for a while and the two of us talked for an hour or two. It was nice to catch up, and see how she was doing. Eventually we parted ways when we went different directions for dinner.

I later decided to get up and get out - walking over the The Manor, where Stan was playing Suikoden II. I hung out there for a while with Stan, Pat, and Mike before eventually going home.

So, needless to say, comparing today's levels of socializing with the average number of people I was seeing just a few weeks ago is like night and day... and it's nice.

Very, very nice.

I think I'm going to go to bed now though.
