The Strange Choices People Make
Posted Sep 3, 2006 - 16:15:14

Curious DuckSometimes I look at the decision a friend of mine has made and say "What on earth is he or she thinking?" Sometimes it's big stuff, sometimes it's small stuff - but no matter what I end up scratching my head. The times when this riddles my brain even more are when it's a decision that the friend then chooses to conceal from the rest of us, as if some little bell knew that it was a bad idea and was embarassed by it. Even worse then that is when the friend has DIRECTLY STATED previously that they would never make that decision because it is a terrible idea.

Folks, if you know it's a bad idea in the first place - don't friggin' do it. Secondly, if you DO make that decision anyways... don't be afraid to tell the rest of us. I can't speak for everyone, but at least in my case, if I say I'm your friend - I mean it. I'm not going to judge you, or think you're a bad person. I'm going to like you even if you do something absolutely ridiculous.

And let me tell you, a few of you are doing or have recently done some really stupid things. I won't describe what they are, because - frankly - it's your business. But next time, don't be afraid to tell your friends... because, well, we're your friends and it'll be just fine. Hell, I've done some really stupid things before in my life as well - I can probably relate. I may even be able to trump you on levels of stupid with some of the things I've done.

If you think what I just said is about you - it might very well be. Actually, the chances are pretty high, as it's about quite a few people actually.

Yesterday I went to a little shindig at Topher's - which mostly just consisted of eating brats and hanging out with him, Ka-Thunc, and Beefalo. After a while, we went out and, in glorious costumes, went out to Water Street with some cameras. I plan on editing this into a pretty funny short.

Speaking of doing stupid things... *grin*

Oh, and by the way, don't forget that there is an Open Karma Challenge right now. (Update: Karma Challenge Now Closed.)

Eh. I made my choice, and I'm happy with it. *shrug*
Honestly....who are you to judge?
Um, my whole point is that I wasn't going to judge the person for making a decision I disagreed with.  I'm saying "don't be afraid of my judging you because I won't, and I'm your friend."
So do ducks like follow you everywhere in hopes that you'll make them a star?
Nah, I just have a bunch of random photos I've taken that I want to post, without really much of an excuse... so I'm putting them up whenever I feel like it.

I took the last couple of duck photos this summer, and I just like them.
