Wow. Crap. February 1, 2006 - 17:23:45
So yeah. Today I move out of the barracks because they say I was smoking in my barracks room. I wasn't. I don't, haven't, and now, never will.

But that's the military for you. Guilty until proven slightly less guilty. once accused, there is no innocent and no one gives two shits whether or not you did it or not. they just want to yell and make you feel like crap and wonder why you wasted another four years of your life by joining.

Okay, yeah, so life here really isn't that bad, but i'm really fucking pissed. They found a can with cigarette ash on top and said it was mine. yes, it was in my room. yes, it was in my desk drawer. But it's not mine. I don't have a roommate, but at one time i did, and he still has his key, not to mention the five i lost and had to have replaced. other people had access, and the day before they found it, i was hardly in the room at all. in fact, i spent most of the night hanging out on the smoke deck, because i can smoke there. But on top of all that, they took that as free license to look through everything else i own. everything. While i wasn't even there. I'm pretty sure that's not legal.

But it doesn't matter. I have no legal recourse against them, cause part of my contract says i can't sue the government. Yeah, I read it before i signed it, but i never really though I'd have to.

I don't know who it was that came in and smoked. But I'm really pissed off at them. I hope they get hit by a truck. and live.

So anyways, I didn't actually get kicked out. I'm moving out "voluntarily" because if i don't, i face disciplinary action that will pretty much make it impossible to get out of the shit job i have and get the one i want.

So i take a small hit here, to avoid a bigger one in the future. and truth be told, if i went to the discipline review board, I'd still get kicked out of the barracks, but i'd also get yelled at by all the chiefs on the ship, and possibly put onto restriction. and lose a month's pay. and lose rank. and lose the job i actually want to do in the navy.

Really, it's better this way. but i'm still pissed.

and i'm still innocent, you fuckers.

Want me to hit them with a hammer fors you?

Because I won't.

Because they're in Cali and I'm in Wisconsin.
When should I activate the Space laser? The will be fine test subjects. Also, what's your new "Snail Mail" so Leah can send the official invite.
So the epilogue to this post is that I simply didn't move out from the barracks and nobody ever told me I had to. There was some assumption that I just would but since nobody followed up, I stayed. I had the room for a few more months until we deployed.
