Dryer installation, and I need to get out more. | |

I was forced to wake up at 8:00am this morning. Why? Because the old dryer broke...
Okay, maybe I should explain a bit (but it should make sense already to those who think about it.) My parent's old dryer broke a few days ago. They then went out and bought a new dryer. Of course, then they have it delivered while my Dad is in California for a trade show, and my Mom has school... thus making me get up at 8:00am. So, my getting up early is entirely the old dryer's fault.
If they hadn't hauled it away when they delivered the new one, I would kick it.
The annoying thing is that the delivery people only could give us a window of time as to when they'd be here. That means that I had to be up at 8:00am... but they didn't get here until 10:30am. That was unpleasant. I was very tired.
Fortunately, the installation went fine, and there were no complications. Woot. I then took a nap, and got back up at 2:45pm.
I think I need to get out more, and have more fun. My social life has dwindled down to nothing while I've been in Milwaukee. I mean, I'm young, single, and don't smell bad -- I should be getting out and having fun. I mean, I haven't even hung out with Derek since before New Years. Yeesh.
I can't wait to get home to Eau Claire in a couple weeks... I want to get back to school, and start feeling like I'm making progress in my life again. Must... learn. Must... write... papers. Must... argue... with... Larry. I have a much larger social structure there, frankly. And, I have more opportunities to hang out with people...
Anyways, right now I'm not to sure about going out while here in Milwaukee. First off, I left my razor in Eau Claire, so I'm stuck with disposables here in Milwaukee... so I haven't been shaving. I'm pretty scruffy right now, in fact.
There is an interesting article on the importance of blogging that I just read. It's actually a pretty good read, and quite interesting.
I'm mostly done with the first release of my modified blogging script. I've already gotten permission from the creator of the original script that I based it off of to distribute the modified script, so it's just a matter of me writing comments, and tweaking some bugs.
The major obstacle for me is that I want to add the comment functions back into the program. I've eliminated that from my own version (and replaced it with the message board), but I think it's a pretty basic feature that any blog is expected to have.
That's it for now, as I have nothing else interesting to say. Woot.
