Disease and dis-ease

Old PhotoBefore you start trying to analyze the photo I'm using for this entry... don't. I just really like the picture. For the record, it's my old VCR after it broke -- the same one you see me smash in Vlog 1.32. Everyone is sick. That's what I've figured out. Everyone is sick. I've been feeling ill for the last day or two, but not that bad. Definitely not bad compared to Crysta -- who spent most of Tuesday vomiting, and while she was able to eat some food yesterday, she still puked a couple of time.

I've been feeling queasy and that makes me nervous right now.

The original plan was to shoot a new Vlog this week, as I've gotten behind on those, but illness has taken this whole thing off course. Geh. Ah well, hopefully I can get that done this weekend at some point. On the upside, Crysta went to class today, and seems to be doing better. I am optimistic that she'll be okay by tomorrow... but my brain tells me there's a good chance that she won't be.

Sigh.

On the upside, neither one of us seems to be as sick as my boss - who I have nothing but sympathy for. She's been knocked down worse by god-knows-what.

Biedermann and I have been working on new material for Happy Wednesday. We hope to have a new album's worth of material written by the end of the month (whether or not we will be ready to record it by then is another matter). The new stuff is of a slightly different sound than "This Side of Awful" so I think you guys might be surprised with what we come up with.

We're still trying to find a way to adapt Ride of the Belkies to live performance though.

I've tossed up The Crow: Stairway to Heaven in the TV Shows section of the website. I have an odd love of this series, so I thought it would be a good addition. I'm all about terrible B-level scifi and fantasy shows from the late nineties. Next thing you know, I'll be putting "Team Knight Rider" online or something.

...that's not a terrible idea, actually.

In unrelated strangeness, there's always the guy who punched his own lawyer in the face. I mean, where on earth does THAT seem like a good idea. Of course, the guy is on trial for rappelling into a K-Mart to try and steal Jewelry, so I doubt he has all the right bulbs in his box anyway.

It's still bizarre.

I thought about doing some post-Omega Tuesday write up as well, but since Hillary and Obama are still neck and neck, and McCain seems to be leading the other side, I think that the country is finally not screwed for once.

It also means that I'll finally be able to vote for a Presidential candidate I like without feeling like it's a futile effort, unlike my Dean support in 2004... and my Bill Bradley support in 2000.

You've figured out I'm an Obama supporter already, right?

Right?

Sigh...

I'm going to go get myself a Diet Coke...

I just got my invite from hulu. One word- yay! I've already watched the first ep of The Crow... now they just need Renagade, Xena, Hercules, Forever Knight, Beastmaster, Kung Fu The Legend Continues.... can't you tell that I'm avoiding homework and writing cover letters? See what you have done?
