So, those of you paying attention to my site saw that I posted a new "Funny Video" on Friday called "Not Purple." For those not in the know, the song featured in the video is a new Happy Wednesday track called "Staff Meeting" and was recorded and mixed during a Staff Meeting for No Brand Con on Thursday night... without anyone knowing I was doing it until after I finished it.
Bizarre, I know.
So, I made the video very quickly, and put it online a few different places. Since then, the song has been constantly going through my head (as it can go through you head too if you want it - here's a link to the MP3 of the song). I've decided that this is the perfect video for me to infect the internet with "Not Purple" stupidity. I wish to spread this particular video as far and wide as I can.
And I want you to help me do it.
These are the various links to versions of the video online:
Take these links (preferably the Youtube one, but any will work) and spread them to every message board you visit. Embed the Youtube version in your LiveJournal or (heaven forbid) Myspace page. Post them to your Facebook account.
We must make everyone understand the glory of "Not Purple."
Okay, not so much on the whole "glory" thing, but you get my drift. I think we have something with the potential to go "viral" and with the possibility to spread into a full blown meme. People making their own "Not Purple" photoshopped images, people making their own videos to the MP3.
Heck, maybe we can even sell T-Shirts.
I need your help to do this though, so I beg you - help spread "Not Purple" to the vast internets and make it so people can't get Josh saying "Not Purple" out of their heads. Because if you had to hear it, so does everyone else.
Make the world share our pain. *grin*
Most of all I just think it would be a fun thing to do. I so often do things that work on a less accessible level of humor that since I've done something with a wider appeal for once that I'd like to see it spread. That, and I think it would make an entertaining study as to how these things spread across the internet, ya know?
