In an blowout that none of us saw coming, the total body count for my Mom's "Creative Writing" class' final exam stories was 700,072.
That's a lot of dead.
The count was at a whopping 41, until my mom reached the last story - in which a nuclear weapon killed 700,000 people, and an additional 31 died. Thus ends the lesson - the students in my mother's class all need serious counseling. And if anyone asks you "What was the total number of characters who died in Mrs. Dorn's Fall 2003 Creative Writing Final Exam?" you can confidently answer 700,072.

I'm currently packing my stuff, and I head back to Eau Claire in the morning It's kind of exciting, and it's kind of a pain in the ass too. I absolutely hate the process of moving. I don't mind the concept, mind you - or the results of changing my setting. I don't even mind the van/car-ride. What I hate is figuring out what I need to take, and what I don't. I don't mind the outcome, but I hate the process I guess.
For anyone who was worried about me, don't be. I've had to deal with a few things that I hadn't been, but I'm about a bazillion times better today. It was just something that I had to deal with and move on from. I had been through worse, and I will go through worse again. As someone once said, and I paraphrase, "if it didn't hurt, it probably wasn't worth it in the first place."
I went out to dinner at the Chancery tonight with my parents and brother, which was nice. Had a good meal, and got to spend time with my family. I'm going to miss these goons. I'll also miss Derek, Chris and Heather too - but frankly I'll see them sooner than I will my mom (yay NoBrandCon!)
I have some art I'm going to scan hopefully next week, once I get back to school -- including a chibi-Brandi image, which is disturbing to say the least. In any case, it'll be cool. The art gallery needs some massive updating, so I plan on tossing up whatever I have on my harddrive that isn't there already too.
Word.
