Without going into details, may I just say this... Grrrrrrrr!
Have you ever been disappointed by a good friend? I have. Dammit, I have. Geh... I can't really explain past this - as it is the life of others, and not my own.
Had a fairly good weekend at least, and that's saying something... If you remember my last post, I was waiting for the Erin to arrive. The Erin did arrive - and I was very happy. On Friday we went to fireworks, which was good. I had the strange experience of sitting with Erin, Anna, Heather, Chris, and Derek... and for anyone who knows me, that's one odd combination of people for me to be near. Literally the five most important people to me, outside my own family. This was the first time All six of us were ever in the same place, at the same time. Very strange... and nice...
Erin and I rented Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - and watched the whole thing. That's right, I've finally seen that entire movie. Woot.
On Sunday, Erin and I went down to Summerfest at around 3:00pm. We wandered around a bit, and got rained on... a lot. Let me put it this way, we went and saw a few songs from a KISS tribute band, the rain was so bad. Okay, guys - I like KISS... a lot - but these guys were not that good. Their Gene looked right, but when he sang "Dr. Love"... it made me want to shoot him. Geh... The rain was on and off, so we still got to have a decent time. I accidentally wandered in to a Spirit Creek concert - and liked it. I'd never heard of them before, but they're pretty enjoyable. Erin and I hung out for a while longer - but decided to head out around 8:00pm or so.
Afterwards, we rented Vanilla Sky, and watched it. That's one seriously strange movie... and I loved it. If you're one of the few people who haven't seen it yet - go out and do it. It's fantastic.
Erin and I took a long walk today before she left... I swear, I get so much more exercise when she's around. She left today, but I'm heading up to Eau Claire on Wednesday for an appointment with my advisor on Thursday - so it's not like we'll be apart for that long.
In site news, I've made the mainpage change. It's not that big a deal - but I figured I'd mention it none the less. Just a warning, don't put URLs or run on words (you-know-what-I-mean-Topher, etc...) in the subjects of the posts... it screws up the system... yeah. Ah well... Later...
