What is this bizarre form of precipitation?

Snow.

There's actually snow on the ground. In Wisconsin.

What should be a relatively common occurrence has been quite MIA the past couple months, and even winters.

It's been, what, in the 40s-50s and raining for the first part of this winter? And that's becoming almost normal for Wisconsin...

And people opppose the basic facts of Global Warming... that the climate is warming up.

Have they been outside?

Before I start a dialogue on a certain well-known writer whose books have become several blockbuster movies (Jurassic Park, anyone?), I'm going to shut up and revert from adult-with-well-backed-scientific-opinions to kid-who-thinks-snow-is-pretty.

The Violent Femmes are stuck in my head, and they won't go away.

It could be worse...

What am I doing awake this early on New Year's Day? Why did I wake up at 9?

I blame the parental unit wanting to go shopping. Which was almost pointless in my opinion. It was nothing that couldn't have waited.
I suppose dad wanted the company.

Very cranky company since I didn't crawl into bed until 5.

But, last night was worth lack of sleep.

I need a Wii, just for the awesomeness that is Wii golf. (played it last night)

But today, I am going to continue recharging my batteries (which were almost dead by the time the semester ended) and not emerge from the hole of my room for a while.
