The Back of the lot Club September 9, 2010 - 10:19:22
It dawned on me today that the Back of the Lot Club is truly gone. I was driving in circles at UW Stout looking for a space when this realization hit me. There is no way to have the back of the lot club at Stout, because if you see a space you take, there may not be another one. So the whole concept of driving to the far end of the lot and not even bothering to look for a good spot becomes of mute point. The BLC was formed when I got sick of driving in circles at CVTC EC and started driving right to the far end where no one parked thus actually saving me time in the long run, allowing me a chance to unwind, and get a good walk in. Eventually I was joined by 3 other people who liked the idea, and we would hang out on the far end of the parking lot and thusly we were dubbed the back of the lot club. Eventually we even moved out of the lot onto a side street next to the parking lot where we didn't have to pay the parking fee. Eventually people moved on and started either being rushed and/or graduated till it was just me. I even started parking in the pay lot on nights when I would be around past the time they charged you to leave. and thusly the CVTC EC BLC was disolved. Until today I had never really thought about the fact the club was over. It simply ceased to exsist while no one was paying attention including myself. For those who are friends with me on twitter or facebook, you may have noticed over the last couple months random references to "the plan" It is officially over now and I can happily say "The Plan" was to propose to my Girl friend. so here is a break down of "the plan" as viewed on twitter. I have had a lot on my mind lately... When I was but a young lad of 16, I joined the z2 forums (zzt by epic mega games fan site) and much posting ensued. During this time I developed the persona of Boris Trege. Bor-is Tre-ge. Ge-is Tre-Bor. Geis Trebor. Robert Sieg. (Oh aren't we the clever one!) I cultivated him as a persona with a darker sense of humor than me. Also he tended to never finish a complete thought on the forums, ending most sentences with "...". Over time this persona began to become to real around certain groups of people. He started receiving mail, then Mrs. Boris Trege started getting mail, and finally a letter arrived To the parents of Boris Trege Jr. I had created a monster and now he was getting more mail than me! I began severing ties with the web persona, but I had grown use to being this person I had liked certian aspects of the persona and had inadvertently started copying him. One such things was ending sentences with "...". I eventually came to a semi-identity crisis based around this persona, and stopped using it all together. Only one thing remains from this persona. They way I have ended forum post and emails for many years now. "..." Recently it was pointed out that I over use this and should maybe cut back on the "..."s. I have struggled to stop hitting the dreaded period key, but it appears I am getting better, but man typing up a post where I have to use them to explain is really killing me. The Zombie house collection March 31, 2010 - 8:49:08
Several years ago when I was more naive than I am now I fell in with a group of random persons who lived in a house know as "THE ZOMBIE HOUSE". It was actually the second incarnation of "THE ZOMBIE HOUSE", but that is of little consequence for what this blog post is about. These persons took it upon themselves to "educate" me in random movies I had never heard of or dreamed had been made. These films are what I refer to as the zombie house collection. Ice Pirates Space ships, pirates, romance, ice, time travel, and eunuch slaves... Yeah this film has almost everything... It is a very enjoyable watch with friends but would never say it is a great film. Best Scene: Fighting in a ship traveling through a time hole with everything aging rapidly Repo Man So your parents gave away their money to a bizarre cult, you punched out your coworker, and your girl friend dumped you... Become a repo man and hunt down the mysterious malibu... This film rocks!! Best Scene: Discovering the whole point of the story is space ships are time machines and time machines are spaceships... Fight club Its fight club do I really need to explain it? Best Scene:Watching the narrator beat himself up Pirate movie Apparently this film was so bad neither I nor any one else can remember what it was called. For pity sake it literally was rated "ARR"! A cursed pirates chest is opened unleashing an evil pirate out to decapitate the descendants of his old crew and put their heads in the chest. Yes, they sing "13 heads in a dead mans chest". Best Scene: "I've never tipped a wench!" The Descent Decent horror film that pits women against gollum and each other. Best Scene: Surprise this is not the ending!!! - calvsie [ Comments ( 0 ) ]

I had a nightmare last night. If I have nightmares they tend to be three of my main ones that repeat, but last night I got a horrifying surprise... I was on freckles the horse again... Now being on a horse I'm good with but that particular horse has my only bad memories associated with her. Last night I found myself returned to the bucking back of a horse with a leg wrapped in barbed wire... I was holding on for dear life as the bucking horse tried to escape the bite of metal. Camp counselors are yelling... I can do nothing but hang on... an eternity passes in a moment... Must hold on... and it ends... The horror of this nightmare was that it really happened. I was really on a horse that had accidentally stepped into some barbed wire. As you probably can guess, I survived... I am grateful to this nightmare because with the terror of the moment on that horse it brought back the fond memories of box T ranch. Three summers of my life when I was really confused about what I believed. Box-T ranch was the place where I first was shaved... by force... It was the place of some of the most epic level capture the flag ever. The place with the perfect pool for performing whirlpool in. It had one of the most amazing view I have ever seen. I hadn't thought of it in years... so I did a little digging... The proprietors have retired and sold the ranch and the current owners call it the wishing star ranch... I also found this blog entry which is full of stories I can relate to... I'm sad to find out the camp is closed but I'm happy I had this nightmare... RGS out... - calvsie [ Comments ( 0 ) ] |
