Comparing 2011's Allison Friday to 2015's
Posted Jan 20, 2015 - 20:49:55

Allison Friday

Since Friday is going back into her full uniform (which we haven't seen her in for literally years and over 300 pages) in The Chronicles of Crosarth I had to update her in-uniform character model.

I pulled out the 2011 version and... Well... It hurt my brain. In 2011 I hadn't drawn anything but stick figures in years.

And it really, really shows.

Comparing Friday's current design to the way I used to draw her boggles my mind, honestly. Small details like how inconsistant I used to be with the bag on her hip jump out at me -- as well as big ones like "having room for organs."

That's kind of a big one.

Well it's an interesting site to see these changes.

Her bangs appears shorter, She doesn't look as thin although that's a good thing because it makes her look more realistic, Yes the bag on the side is bigger. Her gloves appear to have changed. And finally her breasts appear a little bit bigger now too. Sorry for pointing out the last change but that's all I see.
Actually, her chest is scaled to her torso about the same as it was before -- but I used to draw her head much larger.

The gloves are mostly the same, but she's making a fist in the first image and her hand is relaxed in the second. Mostly it's notable because she actually has fingers now.

The hair is a bit shorter, because I used to be fairly inconsistent about the length. Like the bag, it varied from drawing to drawing originally.
