Progress On The New Lt. Snorkel Album... |

Those of you who just follow me for my webcomics or my podcasts might not realize that
I actually write, perform and record music as well. Since 2007 I've averaged about one album a year, mostly under the name "Lt. Snorkel." Why Lt. Snorkel? Honestly, it was kind of pulled out of a hat. I didn't really put too much thought into it. Some of the music I've written I'm proud of... other stuff not so much. But it's all up there, the good and the bad, for the world to see.
Anywho, I've been working on an album that will be released later this year, so I thought I'd share some of the early work on it like I have before.
Because I like doing that.
So without further ado, I present to you rough versions of two of the tracks that will appear on the forthcoming LP "The Moment After" later this year:
Meteor is (right now) an instrumental piece, while Heaven is a bit closer to my "normal" style. I haven't written a lot of non-instrumental stuff in the last few years (my
2013 release was the
Crosarth soundtrack and before that was an EP of covers), so some of this project has been a challenge to get back into the swing of it.
I like how its turning out so far though.
