So, many of you reading this saw my April 1st Blog Entry about how the "real" Shiitake Con was suing me based on my storyline about the "fake" Shiitake Con in my comic UnCONventional. Most of you looked at the date on your calendar (or at least on the post) and noticed what day of the year it was. Due to Facebook's one day delay importing my blog, a few of you didn't have that as an option... but even some of the people who saw it on Friday didn't realize it right away.

It was an April Fools joke.

For the record, there is no Shiitake Con. I made it up entirely. I am not being sued, and UnCONventional is not, under any circumstances, ending as long as I have internet access, a scanner, and access to art supplies.

I actually feel kind of bad that some people were genuinely worried about me. I guess I wasn't obvious enough in my joke (although I did insert various clues into the post). I honestly thought people would just see the italicized line "This is an important date on your calendar" and get it instantly. More obtusely, but my favorite hint in the text none the less, was the line "...and possibly right, it looks. Fear of ongoing litigation strikes..." in which the first letter of every word spells out "April Fools."

So, for the record, allow me to apologize to those who were genuinely concerned about Crysta and myself. I never meant to genuinely freak anyone out. In truth, almost everyone who read it on Friday caught on by the end of the day, if not immediately. The few who were genuinely afraid are the ones who saw it when Facebook imported it a day late, and for that... well... for that I blame Facebook.

In any case, I hope I didn't cause any undo stress for anyone.
