Basic Life Variances
Posted Oct 20, 2010 - 10:03:49

So I originally had a fairly long post planned for today, and it's one I've been planning for quite a while. The problem is that something happened yesterday where someone might think the blog was about that situation -- which it wouldn't be. But to avoid the implication, I'm just going to put that topic on the back burner and wait for a more opportune (and significantly less inflammatory) moment.

So today I will instead cover various other things going on in my life, and hopefully that will entertain you few yet loyal readers.

1. The walks are going well
I talked about this last week, but I've been taking a couple mile walk every morning. Admittedly, I skipped today, but it's because I had a mild bout of insomnia last night, and to be functional I needed the extra hour of sleep.

My area of town is oddly peaceful in the early morning. It's a mixed neighborhood between residences and businesses, but since everyone's asleep in the wee hours, the whole place is just silent.

I think everyone should spend the time to take a walk in the morning if only for the fact that it's a nice time to clear your head before tackling the rest of the day.

2. Why did it take me this long to discover TWiT.tv?
Anyone who has known me for a long time probably knows that I'm a technology enthusiast - and likely they know that I was a huge fan of TechTV back in the day. Well, somehow I completely missed that Leo Laporte had gotten a bunch of the old TechTV people together and created an online TV network.

I've been watching it now for a couple of weeks, and it's a wonderful, wonderful thing.

If you liked TechTV and you somehow were like me and completely unaware of this thing, you should tune in. If you already knew about this, I merely have to ask why didn't you tell me?!

3. Angry Birds is dangerously addictive.
I finally bit the bullet and purchased Angry Birds for my Pre... and I can't stop playing it. I see the game when I close my eyes dangit!

I know I'm late to the party, but this is seriously the most fun I've had in a long time playing a video game. A video game that is always with me...

I am so doomed.
