Another 3DO Review Posted
Posted Nov 17, 2008 - 11:46:43

Guardian WarSo, it's Monday, and that apparently means it's time for a new 3DO game review in Digital Obscuria. This week I take a look at a fairly interesting turn based strategy role playing game called Guardian War/Powers Kingdom. It's a pretty fun game, and I think the review is actually quite amusing as well.

It's true.

I should point out that while I make some criticisms in the video, that I truly love this game. I actually went out and looked for it specifically when I bought it (as I had played someone elses copy a little). As much as it's entertaining to make fun of the game's shortcomings, I can't help but enjoy myself when I play the game. The actual gameplay is that engaging.

Just remember, all of these reviews for 3DO games are a joint project with Rising Stuff - home of all things import retro gaming and Japanese pop culture.

Or something. Whatever.

Next week's review is going to be about the SNK classic 2D fighter Samurai Shodown/Samurai Spirits. I've already got the footage in the can, and it should go online without problem next week. I'm not sure if there will be an episode the week after that though, as this upcoming weekend I'll be at DaishoCon in Stevens Point and then Milwaukee for Thanksgiving weekend the week after. My schedule doesn't leave me with a lot of time to film during the week.

We'll see though, as I might find an hour or two somewhere in the middle. Who knows.

Just remember, Happy Wednesday will be performing at the aforementioned Daisho Con as well - so if you're in the area, and you don't come, I'll be severely disappointed in you.
