To start things off, I thought I'd just mention that I put up the video I threatened to post the other day. What video is that? Why, it's none other than the Tambodance! video pieced together from spare footage from Vinnk's reception. Sure, it's just a bunch of people making asses out of themselves, but I happen to find it hilarious.
That's just me at least.
I promise that I won't release any more "Stupid Dancing" videos for the rest of 2008. Hopefully that way no one will say I've gotten stale or something. Mostly I think there's only so much that I'm willing to watch... and I only have so many ideas on how to present them. It always seems to occur at weddings though, so no one else get married for a while and we'll be fine.
Tomorrow Crysta and I pack up the van and drive down to Geek.kon in Madison to do another run at vending for Rising Stuff. We're going to be staying at my brother's apartment like we did last year, so it's going to be nice to see him too. I really liked Geek.kon last year (you can watch my video report on it here) so I have high hopes for this particular year. Since we'll be in the vendor room most of the time I won't get to roam around like last year, but since we know almost all of the vendors who are going to be there this year, I think we'll still have a very good time.
I'll throw things at Kellin from across the room or something if I get bored.
I don't look forward to loading up the van though. I also have to carry the boxes of stuff up a flight of stairs once I get to the actual convention... which, again, will suck. Hopefully we'll be able to sell as much stuff as possible though and not have to haul it back to Eau Claire on Sunday. I seriously hope we sell well, but only time will tell.
For anyone whose noticed, I've added ads from Project Wonderful to the site over the last couple of days. Most noticeably the small ad next to the Google ad on the left of most pages, and the Google skyscraper ad has been replaced with one on the Article pages. I'm not getting rid of the Google ads as they have a higher payout for me right now, but I thought I'd give these a shot.
I'm gonna do my damndest toget to geek.kon. It'll probably be saturday night after 8:00 or so. Is the vendor room still open at that point? I'm too lazy to surf around their site and look it up myself. See you there.
