Hey You: Click Here to Donate to the "Trae Needs Money" Fund Via PayPal. Because, lets face it, I'm poor and can't afford stuff. Like this website. :P
A really old photoI just watched an interesting documentary -- or should I say, "I am watching an interesting documentary" as it's still on my television right now. I have to start actually getting to work on, well, work stuff in a few minutes, but I thought I'd take the time to talk about it anyways. It's called "Urban Explorers: Into the Darkness" and is about, well, Urban Explorers. To explain, Urban Explorers are people who break into abandoned buildings, caves, sewers, wherever -- just to see what's there. It's the sort of thing that I always wanted to do but was far too chicken to start doing (not to mention my occasionally crippling acrophobia). Really, the entire subculture is fascinating, and the documentary is fairly entertaining.

The copy I was watching belongs to my roommate Katie (for those of you who don't remember, Crysta and I live with four other people in the Zombie House). Katie is, coincidentally enough, a person who does this stuff -- and by all accounts she knows quite a few people in the documentary.

And to think, Katie isn't the strangest person we live with.

The entire phenomena is just fascinating though, as there's something liberating about even just vicariously experiencing this stuff just by watching the film. The trailer is on Youtube if you're curious.

On a totally unrelated note, I'm going to start doing the occasional live webcast. When I do one, the flash window for them will just be posted to the front page of TRHOnline.com, so you won't have to look that hard for it. This is a supplement to the (unintentionally on hiatus) vlogs that you usually see in this space. The first experiment will be the No Brand Con room party at MarsCon 2008 on Saturday, March 1st. The webcast begins at 7pm (two hours before the party officially starts). I will have a live chat room on the website as well, so people can talk back and interact with what's going on.

This is an experiment, and it hinges on the WiFi at the hotel not giving me problems (which it did one year, but worked fine another year -- so who knows). I'll put up a little reminder on TRHOnline.com so you can remember to tune in, but first tests with the technology I'm using seem promising. If all goes well though, expect me covering more special events -- like No Brand Con itself.

Because, you know, that would just make sense and everything.

Marscon will just be covered by one camera, but No Brand Con will probably be covered by two (but with sound only coming from one of them).

I do keep meaning to get "The Life of the Traegorn Season 2" back on track - and will be doing a regular vlog from Marscon as well. I know Topher plans on doing a podcast too for NoBrandCon.com - so we'll see what happens there. I plan on getting involved in that at least a little.

I will be adding a new TV Series this weekend as well, so no I'm not going to fall behind on those either.

But, as I said before, I have to get back to actual work.

Do I show up to the room party dressed as STL? Or at all? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Wait... are you suggesting that you may or may not show up, or that you may or may not be dressed when you do? :P
If I show up not dressed as STL I will be more dressed than that. Of course, considering all the booze that will be around, it might end up being less than that. Who knows!
