At the ripe age of 27, I finally got around to buying my first piece of NEW furniture. I know, it's rather sad. Also, I can't speak Spanish. And I'm unobservant. But I sure do finally have a coffee table.
So, the ordeal to actually find this coffee table is rather long in truth. This weekend Crysta and I went out in search of an inexpensive coffee table. We thought this would be a simple task, taking very little time.
Boy were we wrong.
We went to quite a few stores that first day, including Savers, Goodwill, Big Lots, Target and Shopko. At none of these places did we actually find anything worth plunking down cash for. Out of frustration today then we did what I claimed I was never going to do -- we went to Walmart.
I know, I know... but they had exactly what I wanted.
So, we bought the coffee table there, and the laptop I'm typing this on currently sits atop it. Apparently the cost of my soul is equal to that of an inexpensive coffee table. Who would have ever known? The table is nothing fancy, but it works for what we need... and it will be easy to disassemble and move in June when we migrate to the south end of town.
We've totally rearranged our space at the Zombie House since Ragtime moved out, Katie moved across the hall into his old room, and Crysta and I took over Katie's old space (follow that? I hope you were able to). I'll try and create a video tour of it sometime so you guys can see what it looks like.
