No Rain Dance (44th Vlog)
Posted Aug 26, 2007 - 17:12:54

It hasn't rained so far this weekend. Hooray. Anyway, Crysta and I went out to see a band in Waukesha, we met up with a friend, and I talk about my general plans for the next few weeks. Oh, and I dance around like an idiot. Enjoy.

Music in this entry is by (of course) the sadly recently defunct To Slay Zombie Newton and (also of course) the very much not defunct and alive Happy Wednesday. I know, even though a member of To Slay Zombie Newton was talked about in the entry, I went with one of my own songs for the ending. But considering all you hear is part of one of the samples I was using, it's not like you're hearing all that much of what I was doing with that song anyways.

Speaking of To Slay Zombie Newton, I'll soon be launching a new portion of the website called To Slay To Slay Zombie Newton, which will be the best (and only) fansite for the band. The biggest feature (and probably the only reason anyone will visit it) is already live and online -- and that's the To Slay Zombie Newton Media Library. It's a flash widget that contains videos of live performances (including several songs that did not appear on their album), early recordings, and some other stuff. The best part is, you can embed it on other webpages too (I don't think any of you use MySpace, but in case you did, it should work there too). So, click over and check it out if you feel so inclined.

The Flip Flops in February (ed. I fixed their name) concert was alright, and I had a fairly good time. it was nice to get out in general, so that may be coloring my experience. The rain had sort of turned me into an involuntary shut in this last week. I am so happy it stopped raining, you have no idea.

There has been some rethinking with "This Side of Awful" and the track list (and the album in general). I'll do a full post detailing this, but a few tracks are being dropped to be put on a future CD, and "This Side of Awful" will be released as a free download only. There are several reasons for this, but the biggest is that I don't feel comfortable taking money for the couple of covers on the disc without giving the money to the original writers -- and the margin is going to be so low on the discs that I put out that it won't be that big a slice.

Again, I'll post something about this in a few days.

I think I'm going to go finish off the leftover pizza now...

It's February, not Friday.

You weren't listening at all, were you?

I'm highly disappointed in you.  I can't take you anywhere, sheesh.

Whateva'. :P
Don't whatever me, mister.
