Life in Suburbia (34th Vlog)
Posted June 3, 2007 - 17:59:36

I've been back in Milwaukee for two weeks now, and so I thought I should talk about it. And when I say Milwaukee, I mean Milwaukee area. And when I say Milwaukee area, I mean the friggin' suburbs.

Music in this entry is a little varied. Besides the ever-present tones of the opening by To Slay Zombie Newton, I've also included some Skee Lo (and his classic one hit "I Wish"), along with The Creation's classic "Making Time." I offer you diversity in music, that's for dang sure.

I was screwing around with video quality on this installment, hence the lower quality of parts of the video. I'm still getting used to the new editor, so I apologize for any imperfections. I shall endeavor to correct them in future entries.

Things have been... things. I still haven't gotten a chance to hang out with Derek since I've been back - which kind of sucks. I miss that kid. I guess I really haven't called much of anyone really, besides Crysta. But, honestly, as she's only here for a short time, I want to spend as much time with her as possible.

I know it might not sound like it in the video, but I am really happy that I'm going to be the one taking Crysta back to Eau Claire. I really do want to get as much time in with her as possible. Frankly, it's going to suck not being able to see her regularly. I guess her being at her Dad's place here in Milwaukee these last few weeks have been a blessing in more than one way (I mean, besides the fact that I got to spend extra time with her). We had pretty much been spending almost every day together, and this has forced us to spend a little time apart.

I guess it will help ween us off of seeing each other every day and prepare us for the upcoming long distance era of our relationship.

I did mention that this SUCKS right? Right. I'm going to end up spending so much money on gas this summer, it's not even funny. I'm just counting my blessings that her cell phone has a Milwaukee area phone number...

The weather has been absolutely gorgeous, and I can't tell you how much I love late spring/early summer. It makes me so happy I could spin. I think I'm going to get off my duff and take a walk or something.

You'll also noticed, I've added the original 1959 version of House on Haunted Hill (starring Vincent Price) to the Classic Movie section of the website. I happen to love that movie, and recommend you watch it if you haven't yet. If you guys have any suggestions for future films to be put in there, just let me know.

How long are you going to be in EC? I'm planning on visiting next weekend as well, and Brian says I should have a birthday party at the OA house. Perhaps things will line up accordingly.
Probably just a night - maybe two at most.
I do have a film suggestion, but for some reason I can't remember the movie's title for the life of me.  I do remember though it appeard on an episode of MST3K (Gawd, I miss that show).  It also had a clip at the beginning of the movie from some funeral company supposedly sponsoring it that said they would provide a free coffin to anybody who died of fright watching the movie.  Does that help any?
I finally get a proper plugin for my computer, and this is what I decide to watch. You didn't disappoint. Makes me miss the Northwoods, *almost* makes me miss you! Can't wait for the next one, man.
