 Wisconsin spring is the sort of lie we tell to children. You know, like the Easter Bunny, and Santa? We say "Oh sure honey, they have Spring in Eau Claire, Wisconsin." Yep. And then, a day after it was 55 degrees out... we get six inches of snow.
Oh, the lies... the LIES.
Well, so it's technically not spring for a few more days yet, but still - the principle of the matter remains intact. I had been planning to go door to door for my County Board campaign, and get some other things done, but as of right now my plans for the last couple of days have been "Don't fall down on the ice like a moron." So far, I've succeeded in not landing on my ass, but as things may continue (and the cold seems to be sticking around) I can't guarantee that I'll fail at the "remaining upright" plan for much longer.
I'm not going to complain too much about "stress" today because, frankly, it's 7:30 in the morning and I'm too tired to remember the things that I should probably be worried about. That will hit around 1:00pm probably. Actually, I'm significantly less stressed out now than I was before, mostly because I've gotten a lot of work done that hadn't been done before.
On the list of things that are completely unnecessary to my survival though, we completed the first working test of "Super Awesome Action Heroes," and have gotten a lot of the kinks out of the combat system... none of which are currently corrected in the online stub. I'll probably rewrite that section over spring break - and a working manual (incomplete, but readable and usable) will probably be online by the end of the week. Or later. I'm not in a hurry. I'll be running a playtest at No Brand Con if anyone is interested.
