Deja vuSo, for those of you who I haven't told yet, I am again unemployed. As last year showed, and again this year, I am not cut out for canvassing for non-profits. Yep, I missed quota enough times that I was let go.

This is where everyone goes "are you all right?" and I just roll my eyes. Folks, it was just a job. Not only was it just a job, but it was one I didn't want in the first place. The reason I did so poorly was closely linked to the fact that I hated the job. Oh sure, I liked the cause, I liked the people, and I liked the organization. But I hated the job.

And don't worry about me. I made enough to pay off my debts, and I do start working for housing in the fall. So while I don't get to go off and party down because I'm broke, the essentials are all taken care of. For those of you who are going "Man, this story sounds familiar" I'm with you on that. My response this time was very similar as well.

That's right, I went up to Menomonie and Eau Claire this weekend. Mostly I did so to spend some time with Erika (she goes out to North Carolina tomorrow for the rest of the summer), and partially to go to our friend Phil's 21st birthday party. (Kaje was very drunk at this party. It was funny as heck.)

I'm at a point where I value every second I can get with Erika. It will be another two months before I get to see her again... needless to say, many phones shall be dialed, e-mails sent, and letters written.

Anyways, it was a good time. A very good time. I got back to Milwaukee about a half an hour ago too, and will likely soon go to bed... as I'm very, very tired.

Sorry the job didn't work out, but I'm glad you got your debts taken care of.
