I know things. Many, Many Things.
Posted July 3, 2005 - 23:03:43

Batman!I could so have a secret identity. Why? Because I know things. Yes, I truly do know many, many things. Things I can't tell you. Things that I've been requested to not tell you. Things that defy odds that you wouldn't believe. Things that may shake your very foundation of reality, and leave you spinning on your head...

Okay, so not that last part.

But they are things that I can't tell you, that part is true -- So I actually won't talk about it anymore. The only reason I said anything is because it spices up the entry, and makes me seem more interesting than I already am. *shrug*

Today, literally for the first time in years, I played Basketball. It should go without saying that I am, in fact, god awful at the game. There are some of you who may be confused, asking "But aren't you tall? Aren't tall people good at basketball?" Well, I'll tell you, not if they can't shoot to save their lives. And I can't. Oh, I could get better, and if I continue playing I will, but that doesn't change the fact that at this moment I can't do so to save my life. But I had fun, and that's all that matters.

I finally saw Batman Begins with Derek the other night. Enjoyed it thoroughly. It's the first time we've had a decent Batman movie in a while, and in my opinion the first one to truly capture the spirit of the comics I grew up with. The previous Burton offerings drew too much on the Frank Miller vision of the Batman for me, and Schumacher seemed stuck in the 60s oddball years. No, this film gave me my early Shadow of the Bat, pre-Knightfall Batman fix which I have missed for a very, very, very long time. I heavily reccomend it for anyone who has ever enjoyed any sort of superhero comic, film, novel, or television series. Batman Begins is best adaptation of Bob Kane's iconic creation.

Wow, I just reread that last paragraph, and boy do I look like a snobby nerd. Someone tell me to shut up about Batman...

I know things I can't tell you, too.

Well, I *could* tell you...but I'd have to kill you. Beforehand. Any volunteers?
