Fireworks, and Life in General
Posted July 6, 2004 - 14:07:36

I stole this image from somewhere, and I don't care at the moment. (It's a picture of Fireworks if you couldn't tell)So, last night I went to the Wauwatosa Independence Day Fireworks. Yes, I know, it was on the fifth... but you can look at my last entry if you want to see me complain about that ridiculous move.

Because of that though, Derek, who had thought the fireworks would be on the fourth of July, ended up being down at Six Flags and not at the fireworks to hang out as per usual. Which kind of sucked.

Chris chose not to show either, which also was unfortunate, but Heather was there, as was Derek's brother John. Because there were still people to hang out with, I still had a good time. The fireworks were neat, and I chalk the evening up as a success.

I'm still feeling sick, and I'm not too happy about it. I can't tell though if I'm feeling better, or just getting used to it. If I'm not healthier by the end of the week, I'm going to a doctor. The only reason I haven't yet is because I haven't felt any worse, so it's not that urgent. More than likely it's just a virus, and they wouldn't be able to do anything for me anyway.

Andy, my cat, went into convulsions on Sunday night (after I wrote the last update). The seizure only lasted for about two minutes, but it was still scary. This is the first time this has happened since last winter... His seizure last winter was significantly worse though, so not all hope is lost. I don't know how much longer that cat is going to be with us though.

I'll be sad when he dies.

Today I start work on my parent's garage, which ought to be a pile of "not fun." It needs to get done though, and I need to do it. Besides painting it, I have to look at replacing a couple of boards as well. And my Dad is really no help in this... Some kids got the dads who were really good handymen, and built stuff. My Dad? Well, he's taught himself enough to get by, but frankly I'm significantly better at this sort of stuff than he is. I don't want to sound like I'm bragging, as my father is better at many things than I am, and really I don't know all that much about construction myself, but I have better instincts when it comes to working with my hands than he does.

Ah well, I think I'll grab some lunch and get to work...
