Of Sore Throats, Random Joint Aches, Dehydration, and Vicarious Excitement
Posted June 30, 2004 - 17:40:15

There is no reason for this particular imageSo, I woke up this morning feeling mildly ill. My throat is swollen, and I'm a bit dehydrated as well.

Also, for some completely inexplicable reason, my left knee and right elbow both hurt. Why? I have no idea. But, they do - and that's all I know.

My parents came home last night, and my mother reacted quite poorly to the actions take by our neighbor's gardening... it's a long story. Needless to say, if you ever want to know where my stubborn streak or terretoriality come from... it's all from her. Every last inch of it.

Today has been mostly spent off my feet, drinking water, and hoping that I feel better soon. I don't want to be sick. Being sick is very, very bad. Yes.

In much less whiney news today, Erika called and practically exploded my eardrum with her excited yelling. Apparently the people in Oregon finally got back to her, and she's leaving for the rest of the summer this weekend. For those of you who haven't been told, she's been applying for jobs as a firefighter out there... and it's all rather cool. She apparently was very excited, as she effectively squealed for five minutes straight.

I've never heard Erika squeal before. Deafening volume aside, it was quite the entertaining experience.

Travel will be hefty expensive though, as she's going on the weekend of July 4th... Yeah, so that ought to break the bank for her. But it's quite cool, as she's been stressing out about when she was going to leave for weeks now. *grin*

I may end up painting my parent's garage for $500 as a suppliment for income short term, which would provide me with the means to continuing my "get out of debt" plan. I don't know if I can, but since I've barely even begun my job search yet, it may not be that bad of an idea.

In any case, I'm going to go hunt down myself some dinner. Hobbling down stairs is fun with my mysteriously aching left knee... really, it is.

Okay, so it's not. But I still need to eat.
