Thunder and Lightning, Trumpets and Drums, Readers Rejoice, a StoryLord Comes!
Anyone else remember StoryLords? I used to watch it when I was a kid. Well, low and behold, as I turn on PBS this afternoon, there it is... in all of it's glory. Norbert is fouling Thorzuul's plans to this day... with episodes made when *I* was a second grader, or possibly long before. Who knows. Apparently these were made outside of Menomonie, as they were produced by UW Stout. That so makes me want to drive there sometime and find the dirt road driven off on by Thorzuul and Milkbreath every episode. It's my new mission, for at least until I get distracted by some other chunk of nostalgia.
For those of you who have been paying attention, I went to the Graduation party for Larry, Rachael, Sabrina, Jess, Terence, and Frances on Saturday night. I drove Heather up to the party as well, since she was in Milwaukee as well. On the way to Eau Claire, I got myself pulled over for speeding... so one $280 ticket, and six points(!) off my license later, my perfect driving record has been sadly eliminated. Yes, I'm disappointed in me too.
But the party was mostly fun, and enjoyment was had by all. Thankfully Jess let me crash at her apartment, so I didn't have to drive home that night. I came back to Milwaukee on Sunday morning... and was greeted by rain. Thankfully I left early enough in the day to beat most of the storms, so I only had to go through a light drizzle. They didn't institute the Tornado watch until I was about an hour away from home.
I've yet to unpack right now, and I don't know when I'm going to bother doing it. I'm lazy, what can I say. Ah well, off to sort through a couple hundred e-mails...
