Quiet Reflections on a Lovely Beltane Day
Posted May 1, 2004 - 19:44:42

Lookie Lookie, it's a bridgeI took a walk this afternoon, and took a few pictures. I'll probably be littering them throughout my blog over time - but I figured I'd share this one right away. It's the bridge over the Little Niagara Creek, down on Putnam trail.

I love the Putnam trail, it's one of my favorite places to take walks. Right now a part of it is closed off because the a chunk of the ridge supporting part of the trail collapsed. The nice thing about the city not having repaired the trail yet is that less people are traversing it. It makes it just a tad more quiet, and if you're willing to hike up the side of a hill to avoid the collapse, it makes a lovely afternoon stroll.

Last night was the annual Otaku Anonymous scavenger hunt. We had a grand time, running around with digital cameras, taking photos of this, that, and the other thing. The photos are all on Ghaleon's laptop, and it'll be about a week before he can get them to me to put them on the website - but once they're online, I'll link over to them and you can check them out. Af mas, Reanna, Julia and Leah were on my team - and while we lost by a good 30 points, we still had a lot of fun... or should I say funn.

I'm still feeling sick, which really really sucks. I mean I'm doing better than a few days ago by far, but this sinus headache and the coughing have yet to leave me. It's driving me frickin' insane. I went into a coughing fit last night during the scavenger hunt, which sucked big time.

I'm probably just going to bum around for the rest of the evening because of it too. I just don't want to stress myself too much, and resting seems like the best idea I've had in a while. Pretty much I just need to kick back and let my body's immune system do its job. And if my immune system doesn't do its job, I swear to god I'll outsource it's job to Canada or something.

Geh.

Ah well, I think I'm going to curl up with a Terry Pratchett novel and watch the sunset out of the corner of my eye. Yeah, that definitely sounds like a good idea...
