Timely Revelations in the beginning of a new month...
Posted Apr 1, 2004 - 10:12:33

April, it is a wonderful month, and it's first day is always one for timely announcements.

I have found Jesus.

That's right, I have been saved, and accepted Jesus Christ as my personal lord and savior.

I had this revelation while watching the 700 Club yesterday. I also hereby endorse Bob Welch for Senate, and will forget all of that Feingold crap, and officially declare that the only true leader of the United States is a true Christian, and will stay behind George W. Bush in this election...

...and if you believed any of that, you really need to learn to look at the date on this blog entry.

I've been writing fairly impersonal entries lately, and I apologize for that. I know that there are some people who dig those news posts, but frankly - 50% of what I post can be found on Slashdot, whether I get to it first or not. Sure, I manage to scrap together some items that they miss, and I have oddly enough scooped them on occasion, but I think you will survive for a day if you have to look elsewhere to find out about things like Gmail.

In fact, that's your challenge for the day, kids. Tell me what Gmail is. I know what it is, sure - but I want you to write up a short paragraph on it, and send it my way. I won't be grading on a curve this time.

Could you see me as a Professor? Wouldn't that be scary? Yipes.

I considered pulling a practical joke for today over on Northwestern Wisconsin for Russ Feingold, but decided against it. I was going to publish something like "Feingold becomes a Republican" or "Planned Parenthood endorses Republican Candidate Bob Welch", but even though I think most people would be smart enough to realize it was a joke, Google likes to save things I post for months... and who knows what some moron would interpret off of a random Google search in two months? I can make jokes about me becoming a Christian, since if some goon mistakes that for truth, well... no big deal. But I don't want to be responsible for any sort of larger fiasco.

But as my Political Science professor just talked about doing a "Gay John Wayne" impression, it may be worth my while to actually start paying attention...
