Last time I checked, Hermes wasn't in my pantheon...
Posted Feb 5, 2004 - 22:22:29

...but he might as well be. Hermes, besides being the messenger of the gods, is also the Greek god of luck and coincidence. And he's a complete and total bastard.

Of course, we all know that the Roman name for Hermes is "Mercury". The planet Mercury just happens to rule Virgo -- and I am a triple f***ing Virgo (Rising, Moon and Sun signs all Virgo... yes, I was born on a new moon at sunrise...). So, maybe I shouldn't be so friggin' surprised.

Okay, so, coincidence may be annoying the hell out of me tonite, but I can't say that it's all bad. It just makes me look it. It did though, result in my starting the ball moving. Where it will go? I don't know. Right now it's not in my side of the court, and all I can do is wait until it gets returned. But, at least, no matter what happens, I'll at least know that I wasn't just letting life pass me by. If things don't turn out the way I hope, again - right now, all there is to bruise is my ego.

But, as I said yesterday, you don't get more from me than that right now.

Anywho, I took a walk tonite to clear my head, which worked - but then I promptly muddled it again. It's just gorgeous out tonite, plain and simple. I was standing down on the rock on the Putnam trail, just watching the river flow between the breaks in the ice. The snow was fluttering down to the ground, and everything was blanketed in quiet. All that I could hear was the sound of wind blowing through the trees. I stayed there for a while and just watched, as time seemed to stretch into forever.

I live for moments like that.

Then, for some damned reason, I took a walk around K.T. (the dorm). I'm not completely sure why I did it, really. I just felt like I was supposed to. So, I put one foot in front of the other... and Hermes reared his annoying little head.

Geh. So, things I planned to wait on, moved up in schedule, and only the lord and lady know what I was thinking... because I sure as heck don't.

But, I digress. What's happened has happened, and all I can do is wait for what will happen to happen... I think that was English... yeah. *grin*

Aww heck, everyone just call me an idiot and kick me...
