Revel In The Glory of The Lord and Lady
Posted Feb 2, 2004 - 22:49:04

Today has been, in a word, awesome. And I have no earthly idea why.

I mean, all I did today was go to class, hang out at the tables, and come home. Not exactly "excitement land" here or anything... yet I just feel... wonderful.

It makes no sense, and defies all logical reason. But, hey, I'm not complaining. I just feel absolutely wonderful.

I've only felt this good a few times in my life -- and it's been a really long time.

One thing I've realized is how much I like winter. I know, I know, so many of my friends are anti-cold... well, boohoo. You live in Wisconsin. Get over it (*grin*). Appreciate the beauty of it though. As light shines off the surface of new fallen snow, silence envelops the world. If you listen closely at night, you can hear the snowflakes hit the tree branches, as they flutter to the ground. It's just peaceful, and wonderful.

If you've missed it, I reccomend you bundle up, and get your ass outside. If you haven't experienced it, you my friend, are missing the point of being alive.

I feel complete. Sometimes, you don't notice that you've been missing something. Sometimes you don't realize that you haven't been breathing. And sometimes, you wake up and realize that you could have been whole all along.

You just had to notice.

I finally got around to replacing all the missing parts of my dreamcatcher, along with reblessing my air-staff. I also took advantage of the Sabbat to finally put up some protection spells in my portion of the dorm room. It's been a good Imbolc, and with all my talk of rebirth lately, I find it all too appropriate that such movement was done over this holiday dedicated to the first signs of the god waking from his slumber.

I find it hard to believe that this was only coincidence.

Heh, look at me, being all serious. What's up with that? People are supposed to be reading this because I'm entertaining - not because I'm being personally insightful. Well, tough stuff, boyo. I'm rediscovering a part of myself here, and if you want to come along for the ride, great - hop on board.

If you don't? Well, I can suggest a few other blogs you can read. *grin*
