Living with Disgusto-Roommate.
Posted Dec 1, 2003 - 14:42:04

So, right now, the guy I live with is a complete and total slob. To give you an idea of how disgusting this dorm room is, I have included a small photo. My god, what a f***ing mess

And allow me to explain something - this is AFTER he's finally taken some of the garbage out. That's right, this is the CLEANED version of his mess. And this is just an example of part of it. Imagine THE REST OF THE ROOM looking like this, except a small corner (where I keep my stuff), and you've got my dorm room. It's disgusting, it smells, and I'm not going near it. I'm not a neat person - my stuff is usually a mess. But the one thing it ISN'T is full of goddamned garbage. Hygene is important to me, but since Disgusto-roommate (as I have now dubbed him in my mind) sleeps on the floor next to his disgusting pile of crap, I can only imagine that he has a certain love for the mold and bacteria that is surely filling my lungs as well.

I just can't catch a break when it comes to roommates, can I. First I spend several years with Mr. Passive-Aggressive, and now I'm stuck with the garbage dweller... yeesh.

On Thursday I'm putting in for a room change. I just can't deal with his crap anymore. He's a nice guy - really. I mean, it's not like he's a bad person to talk to even - he's just a bitch to live with. Must... move... out. I mean, this guy has gone through six roommates in six semesters. No one, and I mean NO ONE is willing to live with him... but he makes no attempts to change. I'm sorry, but if people kept moving out on me, I think I'd take a long hard look at WHY they kept moving out. Yeesh.

I spent all break being introspective and happy... but I almost lost all perspective the instant I got back... yeesh. I need to get this out of my head - I don't need this particular stress factor, period. I will be happy, dammit. Actually, I probably will be happier the instant I get out of this room. Yes. Must. Get. Out. Maybe I'll go down the hill and scan some artwork... yeah...
