Well, as some of you may know, it is time for my annual trip to the Northwoods with my family. Like any year, the preperations have been quite full of interesting events, and some such... yeesh.
First off though, I want to mention that I have a job. That's right, Mr. Slacker has a job - and a decent paying one at that. Just thought I'd mention that - so, don't worry about me not being able to pay site bills (although, I'd still appreciate it if you bought something from the TRHOnline.com Emporium to help me out).
Woot, and such.
I also now have my room assignment for the fall. I'll be living in Sutherland, room 41. In a basement, huh... hopefully, my Cellphone will work down there... yeesh. I've yet to call my Roommate, so I have no idea what he's like. We'll find out, eh?
So, for those of you who knew the Palindrome (my old car), light a candle for it, because he's passed onto the other side - or where ever the souls of dead cars go. A portion of the vehicle LITERALLY blew up on the road while my brother was driving it back from Columbus (Ohio). He was on his way back to go to the Northwoods with us, and suddenly black smoke errupted from the hood - and a fist sized hole in the engine was suddenly there. No one was hurt, and he got up here safely via Greyhound - but the Palindrome is dead people. *Sniff* It will be missed.
Right now, I'm sick. I've been joking that it's West Nile Virus (since the symptoms are the same), but it could (of course) be something completely different, so who knows. If it ISN'T West Nile, I can blame Erin for this... geh...
Erin is going to join us in Rhinelander tonite (but she leaves back for Eau Claire on Sunday), so I get to see her (I'm very excited). I'll probably be offline for most of the week, with the occasional visit perhaps via my cellphone, but don't count on it. You kids be good while I'm gone!
